Our Robotics Club aims to develop youth skills, knowledge & leadership in STEM and offer an exciting opportunity to collaborate with other young like-minded future scientists, engineers, designers and digital creators. We can connect with one another to solve Community and Global problems. We are the COCOBOTS!
Help Team Cook Islands Reach Incheon South Korea 2026!
Five Cook Islands students and two adult mentors will represent our nation at the 2026 FIRST Global Challenge in Incheon, Republic of Korea, from 7–10 October 2026.
Kahana Ellison, Kaitiaki Cousins, Evah Sosene, Teuruaa Goldsworthy, and Luca Lilii-Tou.
We aim to raise $10,000 to help cover international travel and competition-related costs.
Every contribution helps our students compete on the global stage, develop valuable STEM and leadership skills, and inspire the next generation of Cook Islands innovators.

As a Mentor I’ve seen first-hand how curiosity and determination in robotics challenges can shift kids mindsets when it comes to STEM. Its not just about building robots its also about building kids confidence, skills, teamwork, and passion for innovation!

Kimi joined Cocobots in 2023 as Team Cook Islands’ co-captain and returned in 2024 as Lead Software Engineer. A member of our gold-medal-winning alliance in Athens, she now shares her technical skills with new students. Quiet, focused and determined, Kimi is also an excellent robot driver.

Ine joined Cocobots in 2026 as a volunteer Media Mentor. A multi-media specialist, she helps bring our students’ stories to life through visual content and social media by raising community awareness of the club, what our students are learning and the exciting things they are accomplishing.

Glenda is a longtime club supporter and founder of Kuki Creative, she is documenting innovation throughout Cook Islands history, including the Cocobots. Through artistic expression and storytelling, Glenda helps students build confidence, communicate their ideas and recognize the value of their achievements.

FIRST Global Competitions
We make an impact in the lives of our students who represent the Cook Islands in FIRST Global Robotics Competitions.
Fundraising Efforts
We host fundraising events every year to buy tools, equipment and robotics kits for STEM Education!
STEM Advocacy
We collaborate with schools and community to promote STEM Education to children and youths on Rarotonga.
Cocobots Mentors through the years
We want to give Cook Islands children and youths a chance to explore and engage with STEM in a fun and practical way. Joining a Robotics Club lets them tackle technical engineering challenges in a supportive and fun environment with kids who share that same curiosity and passion.
