Gratitude from the Cocobots Team
We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support we received on our journey to the 2024 FIRST Global Challenge in Athens, Greece. Thanks to the kindness of our sponsors, the generous donors on our GiveALittle page, and the families and individuals who supported us in countless ways, we had the privilege of experiencing an incredible event that showcased the talent and potential of Cook Islands youth in STEM.
Competing in Athens was an extraordinary opportunity, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your support. Your donations and words of encouragement allowed us not only to represent our country but also to achieve remarkable success. We were honored to be part of the Winning Alliance, alongside teams from China, the Republic of Moldova, and Madagascar.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to FIRST Global for partnering with us and making this incredible journey possible. Through your efforts, you’ve created an extraordinary platform that not only unites nations but also empowers youth to innovate, learn, and dream big. Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to represent the Cook Islands, and the Pacific, on the world stage. Your partnership has left an indelible mark on our team and our small island community.
A heartfelt thanks to all the local businesses whose generous financial and in-kind contributions provided the resources, tools, and opportunities we needed to get us to Athens. Your partnership was crucial in helping us reach new heights and shine on the global stage.
We would also like to express our gratitude to many individuals and families living overseas who supported us through our GiveALittle page. Your contributions reminded us that we were carrying the hopes and dreams of our entire community all over the world.
To the individuals and the families here on Rarotonga, through your donations, leading fundraising events, volunteering your time and energy to teaching our kids, rallying support from the local businesses, and giving your love and support each and every step of the way.
To all who supported us—whether financially, emotionally, or through kind words—thank you for believing in us. You’ve shown that even a small island nation can make a significant impact on the global stage.
This journey is just the beginning. We’re more inspired than ever to continue growing, learning, and empowering future generations of Cook Islands youth in STEAM.
Meitaki Ma’ata for your unwavering support, trust, and belief in our vision.
With endless gratitude,
The Cocobots Team
